Mission Trip Covenant

A covenant is an unconditional, everlasting promise. Please read carefully and prayerfully consider before agreeing below. By agreeing below you are promising to do your best to abide by this covenant and the rules and expectations of Summit Church.

I am committing to the mission trip to Guatemala with Summit Church. I know that my non-refundable deposit of $200 is due, along with my application, by Sunday, October 11th and the total trip cost is $2000 - $2500 depending on flight costs.

I will be faithful in fulfilling all team member requirements and commit to attending scheduled team meetings. I will endeavor to prepare my heart and mind for this trip by regularly attending church, praying and reading the Bible.

I understand that this trip is designed for those willing to serve others with a joyful heart. I know that this trip will require maturity, grace, sacrifice, a servant's heart, flexibility, and a willingness to work. It will stretch and push me outside of my comfort zone, but I am willing to do whatever I am asked with a good attitude. I am looking forward to seeing how God will change my life through this experience.

Since I will be a member of a team, I will seek to pursue unity among all my team members and will set an example for others in my speech, life, love, faith and purity. I will humbly submit to authority on this trip and seek to contribute to unity at all times.

I understand that as a participant on this trip, I am expected to follow these rules and expectations:

* Use of alcohol, drugs or tobacco is prohibited
* Weapons, fireworks, lighters, or explosives are prohibited
* Offensive or immodest clothing is prohibited
* No males in female sleeping areas and vice versa
* Participation with the group is expected at all times
* Please respect one another, staff, leaders and the property
* Be prompt and attend all events on the schedule
* Treat teammates as brothers and sisters, not romantic pursuits
